Where am I based?
I’m located just south of Sydney (actually, just five short minutes from the beach in Wollongong, NSW). I’m lucky to have local clients but I also work with businesses in Sydney, Melbourne, and even internationally.
I work from my home office, which means I can work from anywhere, with people from anywhere – from a small country town or major city centre.
There are lots of ways we can connect throughout the project:

How I work
I have a unique way of working, so there’s a few things you need to know.
The client relationship
For me, copywriting is all about people, so understanding you and your customers is key to my approach. I like to build a relationship and work together as a team
I want to get it right from the beginning
To do a good job, all the right things have to happen so I can quote properly, brief properly and get your feedback. Because in the end, when these things don’t happen, it’s the client who suffers. And this makes me an unhappy copywriter 🙁
The copywriting process
When you work with me I follow a process that roughly looks like this.
Step 1 – Consultation and quote
First I’ll send you a document with some important questions about your business and your goals. We’ll also work out the length and scope of the project – E.g. how many pages for your website.
Then I’ll follow this up with a proposal and a detailed quote.
Step 2 – Deposit and briefing
If you’re happy I’ll invoice you 50% of the total project fee. Once the deposit is received we’re ready to start. We’ll follow this up with a chat and fulling briefing.
Step 3 – Research
Before I write anything I’ll find out as much as I can about you and your industry. If it’s an SEO coypwriting project I’ll also do keyword research to find what people are actually searching for. The results may surprise you!
Step 4 – Writing and editing
The writing process begins. I’ll write a first draft and send it to you to review. This is the important part. Here’s where you get to give me your precious feedback. Once you’ve given me the changes or discussed any concerns, I’ll rework the copy before finalising it for the next step.
Step 5 – Project sign-off and delivery
Once we’re happy with the copy I’ll add any final details like the SEO elements such as title tags and meta descriptions. I’ll also do a final proofread to ensure there are no spelling mistakes or typos.
So your copy is as perfect as it can be.
Billing, charges, and other details
I’ll always discuss any charges with you upfront before billing you for anything. There’s nothing worse than walking away with unexpected fees and charges, is there? It just leaves you with a bad feeling about the whole thing.
All invoices are to be paid within 7 days.
I ask for a 50% deposit to begin the project, with the final 50% to be paid on delivery of the first draft.
For bookings of $500 or under I ask for an upfront payment.
Minimum project fee
For new clients I charge a minimum project fee of 3 hours.
Chages in scope
If there is a change in scope we’ll need to adjust the project fee. Once again, I’ll discuss this with you first.
Need something done in a rush? We can work around it. For any worked required in less than 48 hours I ask for 25% of all stated costs on top of the project fee. This is to cover any late nights or weekends I give up to meet your deadline.
